The Lithuanian Museum Associations' (LMA) is a volunteer,
non-profit organization, which unifies Lithuania’s museums.
- LMA Mission
- The main purpose of the LMA is to generally
support museum activities and to organize as well as promote
cooperation and mutual assistance among museums.

- LMA Governing Body
- The governing body of the LMA is
the general member assembly together with officers.

- From LMA’s history
- The LMA founding meeting took place on December
15, 1995 in Vilnius at the Lithuanian Cultural Workers’
Continuing Education Center. The first-elected LMA chair was the
director of the Lithuanian Art Museum, Romualdas Budrys. December
18, 1998 - Raimundas Klimavicius elected LMA chair. November 12,
1999 - Aldona Ruseckaite, Director of the Maironis Lithuanian
Literature Museum, elected chair, 2001 - Romualdas Budrys,
director of the Lithuanian Art Museum.
At present there are 73 members in the LMA.
